What's included: What's in a grooming visit

Every grooming visit is built around your pet's coat, and agreed with you before we start. Depending on the coat, it can include:

  • A bath and a blow-dryWith a gentle pet shampoo, then dried right through.
  • A shave or a trimBreed-specific, or a practical summer cut for dogs.
  • Brushing and a deshedLoose undercoat out, tangles and mats worked through.
  • Nails, ears and eyesNails clipped, ears and eyes checked and cleaned.
  • A hygiene trimFor long coats, so the back end stays clean.
  • Medicated bathsFor skin conditions, when our vets recommend one.

  1. 01

    An evaluation first

    Every groom starts with a health evaluation: skin, ears, nails, lumps and parasites. What the groomer finds goes on your pet's clinical record, and anything clinical goes straight to a nurse or a vet.

  2. 02

    The groom and the price, agreed

    Before anything starts, we agree with you what the groom will be and what it costs, and we are honest about what a coat can actually take.

  3. 03

    Welfare first

    If a coat, an age or a temperament means the groom should be shortened, split or stopped, that is the groomer's call, and we back it.

  4. 04

    Sedation, only if needed

    We avoid it unless it is necessary, especially for cats. If it is, one of our vets confirms, authorises and gives it, and one of our nurses monitors your pet.

  5. 05

    Home again

    You collect a clean, comfortable pet.

Pet grooming in the UAE: Why grooming matters here

Heat, humidity, sand and constant air conditioning work on your pet's skin and coat every day.

A matted coat traps heat instead of letting it out. Mats pull on the skin, trap moisture, and are where skin infections start. Ears struggle in the humidity, and paw pads crack in the sand and burn on hot pavement.

And a good groomer sees your pet's skin, coat, ears, eyes, teeth and nails up close, often enough to spot a lump or an ear infection before you would. Here, what they find goes straight to the vets in the next room.

Our clinics: A salon inside the clinic

Grooming will be available at our Motor City clinic. More of our clinics will offer grooming as we grow. The salon is part of the clinic, with the vets and nurses on the other side of the door, and follows the clinic's hygiene and infection control rules.

The salon sits behind a glass wall, so you can see your pet being groomed. One pet at a time, so there is no queue of barking dogs, and the groomer's attention stays on yours.

Membership: In your plan

Grooming is not included in the plan. Members pay member prices, whenever they book.

What the groomer notes goes on your pet's record, so your vet knows about the lump or the sore ear before your next visit, and the Paws & Co app, coming soon, will carry it too.

How much does pet grooming cost in Dubai?

It depends on your pet's coat and size. We agree the groom and the price with you before we start, and members pay member prices.

Do you groom dogs and cats?

Yes. Paws & Co grooms both, one pet at a time. See dog grooming and cat grooming for what each groom includes.

Where is Paws & Co grooming in Dubai?

At our Motor City clinic. More of our clinics will offer grooming as we grow.

Will my pet be sedated for grooming?

At Paws & Co, a pet is sedated for grooming only if it is necessary. One of our vets confirms, authorises and gives it, and one of our nurses monitors your pet.

Can my pet be groomed if they are anxious or elderly?

Yes. The groomer works at your pet's pace. For an anxious or older pet, the groom can be shortened, split across two visits or stopped, and that is the groomer's call.

Do you offer pet boarding?

No. Paws & Co does not offer boarding.
